1:1 Community Mentoring Program
One to One Mentoring

Big Brother Program
Mentee Age: 6-16 years old
Time Commitment: 4 hours per month for 1-2 years
Availability: Grande Prairie
The Big Brother mentoring program provides young males with a positive, adult role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by our experienced case workers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.
Big Sister Program
Mentee Age: 6-16 years old
Time Commitment: 4 hours per month for 1-2 years
Availability: Grande Prairie
The Big Sister mentoring program provides young females with a positive, adult role model to talk to and share the experiences of growing up with. Through regular outings, a relationship is developed between the mentor and the mentee, which is built on trust and common interests and is supported by our experienced case workers. The result is a life-changing experience for both the mentor and the mentee.
PRISM Program

PRISM Program (Pride, Respect, Identity, Safety, Mentoring)
Mentee Age: 6-24 years old
Time Commitment: 1-2 years
Availability: Grande Prairie
PRISM mentoring connects mentors and young people from the LGBTQ2S+ community. These mentoring relationships help young people to achieve goals, overcome challenges and try new things. A mentor understands the adversity faced by LGBTQ2S+ young people, supports the mentee and celebrates who they are.
This program is a fit for you if you can express care, challenge growth, provide support, share power, affirm their identity and expand possibilities.
Group
After-School Mentoring Program

After-School
Mentee Age: 8-12 years old
Time Commitment: 5-7 Weeks
Availability: Grande Prairie & Rural Areas
Our After-School Group Mentoring programs are currently offered in-school either during the lunch hour or directly after school hours by our trained staff and mentors. While these programs were traditionally known as ‘Game On and Go Girl’ in our Organization, we have re-imagined the programs into one in order to serve youth in our region more effectively.
The single, most important goal of the program is to positively shape the lives of all youth by helping them build a positive self-image, and the program is coordinated around the themes of healthy living, positive relationships, positive mental health, self-esteem, leadership, and communication skills – setting youth on a path to reach their full potential in life.
Each session is 1 – 1.5 hours long
